The Respiratory Biology Research Centre provides laboratories dedicated to the study of protein biochemistry and biophysics, invertebrate drug screening and electrophysiology, as well as state-of-the-art tissue culture rooms, to support world-leading research in the fields of serpinopathic and human tropical diseases, as well as, the development and study of compounds involved in invertebrate pest control. UCL Respiratory also contains dedicated histology facilities and a microscopy suite
The Centre is located within UCL Respiratory, which underwent major refurbishment in late 2015 by architects Hawkins\Brown. The facility was officially opened by HRH the Princess Royal on 10th February 2016.

Ample office areas foster interaction between researchers in the three Centres belonging to UCL Respiratory: Centre for Respiratory Biology, L4L, Centre for Inflammation and Tissue Repair.
The Centre has easy access to the Division of Medicine Core Flow Cytometry Unit and to the UCL Confocal Imaging Facility.
