Are you a UCL social science Early Career Researcher (ECR) with an interest in collaborative research such as research methods, collaborative practice, careers support, etc.? If so, we have a career development opportunity for you. Further details.
The domain's Early Career Researcher Coordinating Group is composed of a group of ECRs at various stages of their careers and from different departments across UCL. We convene a varied programme for UCL ECRs interested in collaborative social science:
1.) establishing connections
2.) reflecting on successful collaborations
3.) develoiping key skills for collaborative social science
4.) showcasing collaboative research. Listen to our podcast series of ECRs talking about their work and experiences of cross-disciplinary research
What do we mean by ‘Early Career Researcher’?
1) Immediately post-doctorate (early stage Early Career Researcher)
2) Transitioning to independent researcher status (usually up to 6 years from PhD award)
We include those on teaching contracts, who are also undertaking research, within this definition.
British Academy Early Career Researcher Network
Our ECR Group also partners with the British Academy’s Early Career Researcher Network (London Cluster). The London Cluster organises events at UCL. Make sure that you register to join the Academy’s Network and obtain a "Unique ECRN ID Number" so that you can register for their events.
