Our research spans the whole life course, from conception, birth and childhood to adolescence, adulthood, older age and death.

UCL research in the area of population health received outstanding results in the Research Excellence Framework 2021. With a submission rate of 96% of eligible staff, UCL was ranked first in the UK for research power in Medicine, and first among the Russell Group for Public Health.
