Research areas:

Past

Philosophical views underlying 20th century l programmes in foundations of mathematics.

Current:

Epistemology of visual thinking in mathematics.

The nature of (finite cardinal) numbers and our knowledge of them.

The nature of our knowledge of abstracta (e.g. properties, relations, structures . . .)

The possibility and nature of non-empirical knowledge, esp. conceptual knowledge.

Teaching summary

UG modules I have taught recently:

Intro to Axiomatic Set Theory; Intro to Scientific Inquiry; Philosophy of Basic Geometry and Arithmetic.

Epistemology - A Priori Knowledge; Our Knowledge of Abstracta; 20th C Philosophy of Mathematics.

Graduate only module:

Computability, Incompleteness and Mind.
