"It is amazing the way the lectures have been assemble and all the lecturers/contributors from industries, academics, MHRA and the professional bodies. My sincere appreciation goes to all the participating lecturers and also my colleagues. To be honest, it is really hard work but it is not impossible so I will encourage all my colleagues to complete their forms ASAP.
Thanks so much for creating this opportunity for us and making your facilities available for this noble course. The Q3P program is based on case studies, sound practical sessions/workshops that focus mainly on key elements of the Study Guide and aptitudes required to make informed and reasonable decision. I found the Q3P course very convenient as all the modules were presented over a single calendar year, two to four days monthly. The mock viva orchestrated by experienced QPs and QP assessors provided a forum not only for practical learning experience but for developing confidence and self belief. I strongly recommend this course to any aspiring trainee QP because of its uniqueness and flexible approach and methods with which the entire training programs are provided."

"Good links with industry i.e. Piramal Healthcare, Morpeth session on packaging, Practical sessions were really useful i.e. tabletting, autoclave and HPLC at the school of Pharmacy, Opportunity to network with other NHS QP trainees, Input from field expert is valuable i.e. Alex, Tony, John Jonson et al, Minimal time off work makes it realistic, Good revision/refresher from materials covered in earlier modules, Convenient location i.e. UCL School of Pharmacy.

"I found the varied methods of teaching used throughout the course to be extremely useful. These included valuable hands on practical sessions to formal lectures delivered by experienced Tutors from the School of Pharmacy, University College London, QPs from the Pharmaceutical industry and QPs from the NHS. Where appropriate, lectures for particular modules were supported and reinforced by visits to a Pharmaceutical industry and an NHS Hospital site (e.g. when learning about Packaging, we were given the opportunity to visit Piramal Healthcare in Morpeth and see large scale high speed automated packaging machines in operation. We were also able to see how clinical trials are designed and packaged in the NHS setting when studying the IMP module).
Each Trainee was also offered the opportunity to have their draft application form reviewed by QP Assessors who then gave feedback. Furthermore, valuable experience of undergoing a mock QP viva after each module was also provided to any Trainee who wished it. I found this to be most beneficial as it was conducted by QP Assessors under very similar conditions to the actual viva.
The Course Director was very supportive and enthusiastic throughout the course making the environment very conducive to learning. I also learnt an enormous amount by networking with other Trainee QPs on the course who were either from the NHS or from the pharmaceutical industry."

Answering a QP Scenario Question:
"I would hope by asking all the relevant questions within the mind map I would be able to make a decision but as I cannot get all the answers based on the info we have it appears (from photos) the tablets are counterfeit as the markings don't seem to match. My next step would therefore be approaching the regulatory agency to inform them of my suspicions."

"I just wanted to say thanks again for a good few days for the Formulation and Testing I module, I felt that I learned a lot and now have a much better idea of what I need to do to prepare for my viva. I intend to start my application and also want to generate notes and information from additional reading/site visits to supplement the taught element of the course."
