Niyan Hussein Ibrahim, the first recipient of the UCL - Nahrein Network Graduate Studentship. Niyan has completed her MSc in Sustainable Heritage at the The Bartlett Institute for Sustainable Heritage and has secured a PhD place in the same department, fully funded by the Nahrein Network.

Niyan is an urban planner at Sulaymaniyah Antiquities Directorate and a co-founder of The Cultural Heritage Organization.
