From 21st August 2015 - 18th September 2015 the computer clusters on the ground floor of the Science Library are going to be refurbished.
The refurbishment project is an initiative between ISD and Library Services to improve the clusters and offer more computing facilities to students. The upgraded clusters will be providing an additional 56 computer spaces, new desks, new all-in-one PCs and electrics. The new workstations will also enable the Science Library to reduce overall energy consumption in the building as the new PCs will use 15% less energy than the current models.
The new clusters will provide 231 workstations. 7 of these will be configured for disabled access.
During the refurbishment the clusters will be closed, although the print @ UCL devices will still be accessible, as will the Library Service Assistant Pod.
A list of alternative computer clusters can be found on the ISD website. Please just ask a member of ISD or library staff if you need help locating an alternative PC during the refurbishment.
