Biography

Martha Pink, natural daughter of John Pink, planter of Jamaica, and Rebecca Hiatt (both q.v.). Baptised in St Ann, Jamaica, in 1829. Left a share in Up Park pen in St Ann by her mother and in Sunbury estate, Drax Hall and Mocho pen by her father. A further legacy from her grandfather John Hiatt.

Martha Pink, of South Crescent[?], Alford[?] Place, Bedford Square, daughter of John Pink Gentleman, married Thomas George Walsh, 10/04/1844 at St Anne's, Westminister.

In 1851, Martha Walsh, age 29, born West Indies, was living at 3 Horbury Terrace, Kensington, with her husband Thomas G., age 36, "Civil Service Customs Cl[erk]", her sister Eliza Ann and 2 female servants.
