Natural son of John Pink, planter in Jamaica. Baptised aged about two months, 01/06/1806 in St Ann, Jamaica, "the son of John Pink by Rebecca Hiatt (free)".
According to the will of his father, proved in 1835, "To my son John Hiatt Pink £140 sterling per annum payable half yearly in London in lieu of any claims whatever which the said John Hiatt Pink may have or pretend to have upon me except the several bequests hereinbefore given to him which together with £80 bequeathed to him by the will of his mother Rebecca Hiatt deceased will amount to about £200 per annum in consideration of which annuity the said John Hiatt Pink shall not participate along with his brothers in the devise hereinafter made of my residuary real and personal estate."
John Hiatt Pink, bachelor of St Michael's, Cornhill, married Lucy Howe, spinster of St George's Bloomsbury, at St George's, 30/06/1833. In 1851 the couple were living at 15 Highfield Terrace, Kentish Town, with their daughter Emma Susannah age 9 and 1 female servant. John was listed as an annuitant, born in Jamaica.

The will of John Hiatt Pink formerly of 5 Everett-street Russell-square and late of 15 Highfield-terrace Gloucester-place Kentish Town both in the County of Middlesex Gentleman deceased who died 13 January 1861 at Highfield-terrace aforesaid was proved by the Principal Registry by the oaths of Thomas George Walsh of 17 Castle-terrace Kentish Town aforesaid Gentleman and John Brown of High-street Towcester in the County of Northampton Plumber Glazier and Builder the Executors. Effects under £800.
