Applications

Standard course (face-to-face) and Extended course (face-to-face)

We are now accepting waiting list applications for the Extended (face-to-face) and Standard (face-to-face) Pre-sessional courses. We expect to offer a small number of places to suitably qualified waiting list applicants. Please read the following guidance before making an application: 

  • Submitting an application does not guarantee that you will receive an offer of a place on the course. Demand is likely to be high and only a small number of places are available.
  • Offers will be made where places are available that match the academic level and UCL English language requirement of the applicant.
  • The application fee for waiting list applications is paid if and when we offer the applicant a place on the course, not when the application is submitted.
  • Students who have already been offered a place on a Pre-sessional course this year will not be considered.
  • Incomplete applications may not be considered, so please make sure you complete all fields in the application form and upload all pages of all documents requested.
  • If you are offered a place on the course via the waiting list you will have only a short time to make payment of the application and course fee.
  • The waiting lists will close not later than the relevant course application deadlines and may close earlier if a very large number of applications are submitted.
  • You can make a waiting list application for one or more of the Extended and Standard Pre-sessional courses, but please note that we will only offer you a place on one course.

We are not currently accepting new applications for the Extended course (online) and Standard course (online) waiting lists.

IOE, UCL’s Faculty of Education and Society, degree offer holders

  • If you are an offer holder for an IOE degree you are not eligible for the Pre-sessional Courses. Please see the separate UCL IOE PASHE courses.
