Find your UPI

How to find your UPI

The best place to look is on your UCL ID card - you’ll find your UPI in the bottom left corner.

You can also find your UPI by looking on the UCL Directory.

  • Go to the UCL Directory and search for your name
  • Click Login (top right) 
  • You will find your UPI listed in your record.

What is a UPI anyway?

Your UCL Person Identifier (UPI) is a unique identifier that has been assigned to you and each person at UCL. It will stay with you for the duration of your time at UCL, even if your status changes. So, for example, if you start off as a student, become a member of staff and later return as an academic visitor then your UPI will remain the same throughout.
