This section of our site will help you navigate UCL policy, conduct accessibility audits and access current Digital Accessibility Statements.
UCL Digital Accessibility Policy
The UCL Digital Accessibility Policy sets out our objectives with regards to addressing and improving digital accessibility for all at UCL.
Accessibility statements for UCL
Access Digital Accessibility Statements for digital products and platforms.
Use the Accessibility Compliance Toolkit (ACT) SharePoint site (UCL login required) for information and guidance on whether you need to provide an accessibility statement for your website or service. If you do, you can use the accessibility statement builder to create one.
For information on requesting a digital accessibility assessment of your UCL content and on producing an accessibility statement, please email us at digitalaccessibility@ucl.ac.uk.
Digital accessibility and procurement
The Accessibility Passport is a collaboration between the University of Westminster, University College London (UCL), RNIB (Royal National Institute of Blind People), and the Global Disability Innovation Hub.
The first output are procurement guides and templates. These are intended to ensure that we specify the same accessibility requirements in contracts, ask the same questions of suppliers when procuring new digital systems and measure their responses consistently across the sector.
The European Accessibility Act (EAA)
Coming into effect on 28 June 2025, the European Accessibility Act (EAA) applies to any organisation that provides products and services to consumers in the EU, including businesses and public bodies in the UK. Find out more about the EAA and training/info sessions with the Digital Accessibility Team. Visit The European Accessibility Act (EAA).
