This guide is aimed at
- PG students
Before you start
You need to be Senior Editor, Editor or Author to be able to create or edit a page.
When editing use Chrome, Firefox or Safari, but NOT Internet Explorer.
- Ensure you are logged in
- Go to the page you want to edit
- Click on 'New draft' at the top, above the title of the page
- Make your changes
- Depending on your role:
if you are a Senior Editor: click on 'Publishing options - Draft (Current)' in the left-hand menu, choose 'published' from the drop-down menu
if you are an Editor: click on 'Revision information' in the left-hand menu, choose 'published' from the drop-down menu
if you are an Author: click on 'Revision information' in the left-hand menu, choose 'needs review' from the drop-down menu
- If you need to put the page in the menu, check the instructions for putting a page in the website's menu
- Finally, check you are happy with the result, including on a mobile device
You may want to add new content but between existing content rather than at the end?
When you find you cannot see your cursor where you want to insert new content, you will see a red dotted line with a white arrow at the end on the right... Click on the arrow and a paragraph break will be inserted automatically, allowing you to insert the extra content.
