Drupal CMS: Create a policy page
Learn to create a policy page in Drupal.
Before you start
When editing use Chrome, Firefox or Safari but NOT Internet Explorer
Instructions
You may want to create a policy page as used on the Human Resources Policies A - Z page.
You create each policy separately. You need to ask web-support@ucl.ac.uk to create a policy feed and once done, you pull in the feed on the relevant page.
The feed will show all the policies and allows users to search according to subject, organisational unit or even communication type.
- Make sure you are in editing mode
- In the top toolbar, click on Content | Add content | Policy
- Write a clear title for the policy - this appears as a clickable link in the policy feed
- Write a summary for the Content intro / summary
- Write an overview of the summary
- Make a link to the actual policy - this may be a PDF or lead to another page with the actual policy
- Add any subject(s) and an org unit
- Add any further resources in a sidebar
- Save
