UCL Movement Disorders Research Registry
We keep a contact registry of people who are interested in hearing about current or future research into movement disorders. By joining the registry you are not consenting to be in a study, only agreeing for your details to be stored on a secure database, so that in the future we can contact you about research that may be of interest to you.

To join the registry: Please contact us (movementdisorders@ucl.ac.uk) to request access to the online registration system or to have the registration forms sent to you by regular mail.
Alternatively, if you are treated at University College London Hospital (UCLH), The National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery (NHNN) or The Royal Free Hospital you could ask your doctor or specialist nurse about signing-up for the registry.

UCL BioResource
The UCL BioResource is part of a national network established by The National Institute for Health Research (NIHR). BioResource is a national database of healthy volunteers, patients and their relatives who wish to participate in clinical research. BioResource volunteers provide clinical information and samples that enable them to be recalled to experimental medicine studies specifically relevant to their genetic makeup and medical condition. Information collected through the BioResource database powers cutting edge research into links between genes, the environment, health and disease, which enables the future of personalised medicine research.
The UCL BioResource is looking to enroll people living with disease, and also healthy people, who are local to UCLH, North London and surrounding area. We are keen to register a wide range of people including people of different ages and ethnic backgrounds as this will provide researchers with a rich resource for future research. If you decide to join BioResource you will be asked to sign a consent form, agree to be contacted to consider taking part in research studies, complete a short questionnaire providing basic health and lifestyle information and provide a small blood sample.

The Queen Square Brain Bank
The Queen Square Brain Bank for Neurological Disorders (QSBB) holds a unique tissue collection donated by individuals with neurodegenerative disease and neurologically normal controls. The QSBB collection is used to study the effects of disease and to support research into a range of conditions including Parkinson’s disease, progressive supranuclear palsy, multiple system atrophy, the dementias and dystonia. It has made a significant contribution to our understanding of the causes of neurological disease and in developing new treatments.
