Abstract
Bringing precision radiation therapy to increasing numbers of patients brings new challenges and opportunities for the imaging experience. For example, adaptive treatments mean that therapists need to be more adept at handling 3D images quickly while the patient is lying still on the table. MR Imaging (before and during treatment) generates more detailed 3D images which users need to be more proficient at manipulating. Intelligent processing of the images brings significant new opportunities for increased precision (for example, automatic gating of the beam), but it also brings substantial challenges for delivering a good experience and usability.
