Based within the Institute of Finance & Technology (IFT), the QASER Lab is home to Quantitative, Analytical, Sustainable Economic Research. Its name takes inspiration from the quasar, since the QASER Lab also strives to be a leading light in quantitative research.

Analytics, Sustainability and Economics are focal in our research, and guide us to build innovative tools and tailored applications to meet the challenges of diversity and complexity in 21st century finance. We take a multidisciplinary approach to mathematical, econometric and computational modelling to deliver excellence in both academic research and industrial solutions for the financial sector, with a specific focus on innovation and digital technologies.

At present, QASER has research specialisms in: Blockchain, Private Equity and Alternative Finance.
