We focus on host and pathogen interactions in macrophages to study innate immunity, T cell receptors to study adaptive immune repertoires and multicellular processes in which innate and adaptive immunity interact. Each component of the immune system can participate in multiple networks and perform multiple functions. Therefore we use genome-wide technologies to measure thousands or even millions of immunological parameters simultaneously and develop methods to understand how these parameters function as a whole.
We bring together biological, clinical and computational scientists to drive innovation and improvement in human health, and we focus our attention on infectious diseases with global impact.
