International leaders will present the latest research developments in molecular and cellular aspects of cancer immunity, autoimmunity and anti-viral immunity. The symposium will consist of sessions covering transplantation, genomics and immune development. The highlight will be the Pears Lecture which, this year, will be given by Shimon Sakaguchi from Osaka University.

The conference provides an opportunity for scientists and clinicians to meet and learn about how research leads to novel therapies for patient benefit. There will also be a session for Early Career Researcher presentations and a poster competition.

Abstract Competition Guidelines

Submitted abstracts will be selected for presentation and prizes will be awarded for the best oral presentation and the best poster. Please see below for more details on the abstract competition.

  • Single page abstracts with titles should be submitted via email to Mahdia Sait (m.sait@ucl.ac.uk)
  • The abstracts will be scored by the UCL IIT Symposium Organising Committee. The three top-scoring applicants will be invited to present their research to the 250-strong Symposium audience. The other selected applicants will be invited to create a poster of their abstract to display on the day
  • If selected, you will be contacted by the middle of June with full instructions for either your oral presentation or poster
  • The submission deadline is 1st June 2018 at 5pm.

The winners of the poster and presentation competitions will then be announced and rewarded at the end of the Symposium, before the drinks reception.
