Our Postdoctoral Innovation Award is part the Division's continued commitment to supporting our early career scientists.
In July 2016 the Division of Infection and Immunity launched a new initiative to support the career development of its postdoctoral staff, the 'Postdoctoral Innovation Award.' This initiative is part of our continued commitment to supporting early career scientists, helping them transition from postdoc to independent group leaders.
The award offers the Infection and Immunity post-doctoral community the opportunity to support the pursuit of an independent project, and to gain experience of preparing and defending a grant proposal.
Applicants must be employed at the level of post-doctoral research associate in the Division of Infection and Immunity at UCL, hold a PhD and have at least one year remaining on their current contract from the deadline for submission of applications. Applicants must have the support of their PI (documented in the letter of support).
- Late October: submissions due
- Late November: shortlisted applicants present to the assessment panel and are interviewed
- December: award announced and feedback to all applicants
- One year later: final reports due from awardees
The 2018 Postdoctoral Innovation Award has now closed. Details of the 2019 round will be announced in due course.
To apply, please complete the application form and return it by e-mail to Jade Donovan by the submission deadline.
