Prof. Kit Wong has recently been appointed to senior editorial positions within the Institute of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Transactions on Wireless communications and within the Institute of Engineering and Technology's (IET) Electronics Letters.
Kit will take on the job of Area Editor for IEEE Transaction on Wireless Communications. The journal published by the IEEE Communications Society specialises in cutting-edge, timely, peer-reviewed research that advances the theory and application of wireless communication systems and networks. Topics include 4G and 5G systems, Massive MIMO, Millimeter wave communications, next-generation Wifi, Energy harvesting and wireless energy, among many other topics.
In addition, Kit has also taken on the role of Subject Editor for Wireless Communications within the IET Journal Electronics Letters. The journal, which celebrates its 55th year of publication in 2019, is an internationally recognised rapid communication journal, ensuring the most timely and pressing research is published as soon as possible to a wide audience. With a broad and interdisciplinary scope, the journal focuses on the latest advances in electronic engineering related fields. Kit will have a remit within Wireless Communications however the journal spans many topics along with communications including photonics, energy sustainability and biomedical technology.
Both roles are senior editorial roles and will see Kit asses submissions to the journals in addition to having responsibility for assigning editors to handle the publication process and peer review of papers.
