About

ICCS member Ioannis Papakonstantinou will participate in the workshop "Creativity Challenges for a Better Sustainable World" part of the Digital Conference on Industrial Technologies 2020organised by German Presidency of the Council of the European Union.

The Conference will provide a platform for stakeholders from research organisations, industry and policy-making to discuss future trends, technological challenges and the further steps required in order to shape and strengthen future European industrial and research policy in the field of key enabling technologies such as nanotechnologies, advanced materials, biotechnology and advanced manufacturing under the considerations of socially fair transition to a sustainable and green economy.

Workshop 4 | Creativity Challenges for a Better Sustainable World

The workshop featuring Professor Papakonstantinou is part of the conference programme and will be moderated by: 

  • Martin Penny, Head of Unit Physical Sciences and Engineering at European Research Council (ERC)
  • Serge Monturet, Education Manager Innovation Hub CLC Central at European Institute of Innovation and Technology (EIT) Raw Materials

Empowering scientists to dream the future. The Session will highlight the work of talented scientists and awaken creative curiosity for science and technology as well as innovation ambition. We will discuss the importance of empowering the next young & emerging generation and extend the boundaries of human knowledge by supporting young scientists.
