Biography 

Nafiseh Vahabi received her MEng degree in Computer Science with Artificial Intelligence from the Electronics and Computer Engineering department at University of Southampton, UK, in 2013.
She then joined Imperial College London, UK, and received her masters degree (MRes) in Medical Robotics and Image Guided Intervention in 2014. Nafiseh was awarded a scholarship from the Engineering and Physical Science Research Council (EPSRC) to pursue her PhD in the Electronic and Electrical Engineering Department at University College London where she was awarded her PhD in 2019.

She was awarded an EPSRC Doctoral Prize Fellowship to develop deep learning algorithms to analyse Electrical Impedance Tomography dataset from premature neonates’ lung. She is currently a research fellow in Sensors, System and Circuit research group within Electronic and Electrical Engineering Department, UCL. 

Her research interest is machine learning, deep learning, image processing and signal processing. Dr Vahabi is a member of Institute of Engineering and Technology, member of IEEE Signal processing society, IEEE Computer Science Society and IEEE Woman in Engineering. She is also an Associate Fellow of the Higher Education Academy.
