Biography 

 

Afroditi Papadaki is a PhD student in the Electronic and Electrical Engineering Department at UCL, advised by Prof. Miguel Rodrigues. She received her MSc in Internet Engineering from UCL and her BSc in Digital Systems from University of Piraeus, Greece.

From 2016 to 2017, she was a Research Software Engineer at Wings ICT Solutions, Greece and while an undergraduate student, she was a Research Assistant at the Telecommunication Networks & integrated Services Lab (TNS) at University of Piraeus, Greece.

Her research interests broadly include the development of robust, fair, and privacy-preserving methods for centralized and distributed machine learning settings. She is currently working on designing algorithms for guaranteeing group fairness in federated learning paradigms.
