Viva Success for Ioanna Lapatoura

We are delighted to announce that Ioanna Lapatoura, Lecturer at UCL Laws and IBIL member, passed her PhD viva voce examination earlier this week. Ioanna's thesis, entitled Intellectual property infringement in fashion: insufficient enforcement and how blockchain may change the landscape was supervised at the University of Nottingham by Professors Paul Torremans and Estelle Derclaye. It is a doctrinal and comparative research of the UK, EU and US jurisdictions, focusing on trade marks, copyright and design rights/design patents. Her examiners were Professor Eleonora Rosati (Stockholm University) and Dr Nicholas Gervassis (University of Nottingham). Dr Reza Beheshti of University of Nottingham chaired the viva.
