IBIL welcomes new member

This term, IBIL is delighted to welcome Rong Zhang as a new member to the Institute, and as an Affiliate Academic at the UCL Faculty of Laws.

Mr Zhang is a Senior Researcher at the Suzhou Customs Comprehensive Technology Center. He specializes in the areas of World Trade Organisation/Trade-Related Aspects of Intellectual Property Rights (WTO/TRIPS) and Technical Barrier to Trade (TBT). As an interdisciplinary researcher with a keen focus on patent right protection, he is a named inventor for several patents and qualified as a Chinese Patent Agent in 2021. Additionally, he serves as an evaluation expert for several organizations in China.

During his visit at UCL Laws, Mr Zhang is conducting research on customs enforcement of intellectual property, working closely with Professor Sir Robin Jacob.
