Viva success for Luminta Olteanu

We are delighted to report that our IBIL colleague, Luminita Olteanu, passed her PhD viva voce examination last week. Lumi’s thesis, entitled ‘Rethinking Trade Mark Reputation and its Susceptibility To Dilutive Harms’ was supervised by Dr Matt Fisher and Professor Ilanah Fhima. Her examiners were Professor Sir Robin Jacob, Sir Hugh Laddie Professor of Intellectual Property Law at UCL Laws and Professor Dev Gangjee, Professor of Intellectual Property Law at the University of Oxford.

Lumi, who was awarded an IBIL scholarship to help fund her PhD project, has already taken up a position as a research fellow at the London School of Economics. During her time at UCL, Lumi has been an active member of IBIL and the Laws community, including participating in research seminars and delivering teaching on IP modules.
