Launch of MyAppraisal

We are launching a brand new online system for appraisals at UCL, an initiative that is part of our Strategic Plan 2022-27. The launch of MyAppraisal forms part of a wider programme of work, to transform the way we support the development of all colleagues at UCL through an open and inclusive performance culture.

Access MyAppraisal

We will be taking a phased approach to the rollout of MyAppraisal, beginning with an initial launch to professorial staff on 5 February 2024.

Over the coming academic year, we will be carrying out engagement and consultation ready to implement online appraisals for all other UCL staff from early 2025.


1. Who can access MyAppraisal to complete an appraisal for the 2023-24 academic year?

The following professorial staff groups will be able to complete an appraisal in the new system from February 2024:

  • Non-clinical Professor
  • Professor (Teaching)
  • Professorial Research Fellow

From January 2025, we will introduce online appraisals for all other staff groups. In the meantime, there will be no actions to complete within MyAppraisal and appraisals for all other staff should be completed in the current format.

2. Where can I access system support, user guides and FAQs for MyAppraisal?

The MyAppraisal SharePoint provides information about system support, user guides, and answers to Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs).
