Our management structure

Our management structure harnesses expertise from across UCL and our hospital partners.

The UCL Institute of Healthcare Engineering is made up of:

Our director and three deputy directors:

• Director, Professor Rebecca Shipley
• Deputy-Director (Translation), Professor Geoff Parker
• Deputy-Director (Digital), Professor Marianna Obrist

We then have six delivery groups with a total of around 50 active members from across UCL. The delivery groups are responsible for ‘delivering’ our Institute’s strategic objectives:

• Careers
• Education
• Engagement
• Translation and industry
• Global
• Research Infrastructure

The chairpeople of our delivery groups sit on our management board, which is also made up of the directorship team and our professional services team. They play a key role in supporting and guiding the Institute's activities. 

We are also advised by a group of senior stakeholders from UCL and our partner organisations.
