Join us on Tuesday 18 April to explore some of our biggest public health challenges. Hear from leading experts in health inequalities and climate change and health, as we discuss what needs to be done to improve health for all, beyond disciplinary borders.

Our expert panel will be debating how to strengthen relationships between research, policy and practice. The symposium also offers an exploration of the innovative research being undertaken by our cross-disciplinary Small Grants Scheme Researchers, and our Early Career Researchers.

We have an excellent line-up of speakers from across UCL and beyond including:

  • Prof Kevin Fenton, Public Health Director for London, Office for Health Improvement and Disparities
  • Prof Sir Michael Marmot, Director, UCL Institute of Health Equity
  • Prof Mariana Mazzucato, Director, UCL Institute for Innovation & Public Purpose
  • Prof Claire Cameron, Professor, UCL Social Research Institute
  • Isabel Oliver, Chief Scientific Officer, UK Health Security Agency
  • Dr Clare Heaviside, NERC Independent Research Fellow, UCL Institute for Environmental Design and Engineering
  • Prof Brian Ferguson, Director, NIHR Public Health Research Programme
  • Dr Jennifer Yip, Consultant in Public Health, Office for Health Improvement and Disparities
  • Dr Jenny Woodman, Associate Professor in Child and Family Policy, UCL Social Research Institute

The full programme is available here.
