This webinar is hosted by the UCL Health Justice Partnerships team.

We will be joined by specialist welfare rights advisors who are embedded within multi-disciplinary care teams in HIV and mental health settings. The discussion will explore their experiences over many years working collaboratively with care team colleagues, and what this can achieve for patients with complex needs.

People experiencing a health crisis can more easily fall into difficulties with welfare benefits and debt, which can in turn affect their wellbeing and recovery prospects. Integrating welfare rights services with healthcare is a powerful way of improving outcomes for individuals.

The webinar will introduce the topic of health justice partnerships and provide good practice examples from different regions of England. It will be useful for people interested in integrated approaches to care, health inequalities and access to justice.

There will be opportunities to ask questions and contribute to the conversation with our panel.

Speakers:

• Sarah Beardon, Senior Research Fellow (UCL Health Justice Partnerships team )

• David Bryceland, Service Manager (Oxfordshire Mind)

• Chris Stewart, Support Care Coordinator (Newcastle Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust)

We look forward to seeing you there!
