Cities have been sites of some of the most visible manifestations of the evolution of processes of globalization and population expansion, and global cities are at the cutting edge of such changes. Critical Dialogues of Urban Governance, Development and Activism examines changes in governance, property development, urban politics and community activism, in two key global cities: London and Toronto. Learn more about the book.
This book launch will feature contributing authors and senior leadership from U of T and UCL engaged in critical dialogue on three issues addressed in the book: government, real estate and housing, and community activism and engagement. Professor Christoph Lindner, Dean of The Bartlett Faculty of the Built Environment and Professor in Urban Studies, will join the launch. For more details, view the full program.
This book launch follows a past joint event between UCL and U of T, Shaping and Connecting Global Cities, which focused on how research is a critical component of city building.
