Translation Studies

The Centre for Translation Studies (CenTraS) at UCL School of European Languages, Culture and Society (SELCS) hosts an internationally leading research and teaching community, covering a wide range of fields within Translation Studies, from audiovisual translation and translation technology to specialised translation, interpreting and literary translation.

We work closely with industry partners to ensure that our programmes possess the maximum professional relevance.

Our activities rely on a team of renowned academics and professional translators and interpreters, which has gained an international reputation for the quality of its teaching and research.

We organise various activities which offer students a unique opportunity to establish contact with professional translators and interpreters, translation agencies and leading academics.
