Is the EU policy of austerity working? What are the dynamics between a socialist France and a right-wing Germany, and which vision will and should win the battle for the European economic paradigm? What can Ireland, Portugal, Greece and Spain teach us?

This debate on one of the most fundamental questions of current European politics will seek to foster an exchange of ideas pertaining to the Eurozone and economic crises, as well as the future of the continent in light of the challenges at hand and ahead.

For the proposition: Professor Dustmann (Economics)
Against the proposition: Professor Marliere (ESPS)
Chair: Dr. Chelotti (SPP)

This event is organised by UCLU's European Society with the kind support of the European Institute.
