The European Institute started its third consecutive Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence grant in October 2023.

A Centre of Excellence since 2016

Jean Monnet Centres of Excellence are focal points of competence and knowledge on European Union subjects, funded under the EU’s Erasmus+ Programme.

We were first awarded this status in 2016, and then again in 2019 and 2023.

Each organised in thematic strands, our work programmes have enabled projects led by academic colleagues from across UCL, and the European Institute.
