Whitehall II

(also known as the Stress and Health Study)

Study update: Suspension of Stress and Health Study (Whitehall II) Phase 13 Clinics. Home visits planned for 2022

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic we suspended the Stress and Health Study clinic on Monday 16th March 2020. The clinic will not re-open. Instead, we will complete the Phase 13 screening by means of nurse home visits. This method of contact avoids the need for study participants to travel to the clinic, and will provide participants with health screening data and the Stress and Health Study with valuable new follow-up research data. Our nurses are fully trained and all necessary precautions will be taken to protect participants and nurses from infection risk.

We are in the process of planning home visits where the nurse will carry out the screening in your home.  If you were unable to travel to the clinic or did not get the chance to attend the London Clinic before it closed, you will receive a letter inviting you to take part in home visits. Home visits are planned for May to September 2022.

If you have any questions, please contact us on our Freephone number 0800 068 1562 or by email shstudy@ucl.ac.uk or by post at our address above.
