    Extenuating Circumstances

Postgraduate taught students with extenuating circumstances that they wish to be taken into account must read the Extenuating Circumstances information in the UCL Academic Manual and the Grounds for Extenuating Circumstances. They must then complete the UCL Extenuating Circumstances Request Form in relation to a specific assessment, and submit it to Clare Stainthorp in the English Department Office (together with appropriate evidence) so that it can be considered at a departmental/faculty level.

Extenuating Circumstances forms need to be submitted no later than one week after the circumstance concerned; if there is a delay in getting evidence such as a doctor’s note, the form should be submitted on time with a note saying that the evidence is to follow.
