Inspire Engineering with self-guided tour of London Transport Museum

Our 90-minute Inspire Engineering workshops at the London Transport Museum allow KS3 pupils to take on an interactive urban planning challenge, with engineers and city planners from at Transport for London (TfL), to design their own net-zero capital!
During this workshop, our skilled facilitators and expert industry professionals will coach your pupils through some of the current, commercial challenges faced by transport planners and engineers on London’s journey to net zero. The content highlights the role of engineers as climate innovators and changemakers – essential to building a sustainable future for our cities, residents, businesses, and environment.    
Meeting real-world, professional engineers empowers pupils to be inquisitive, asking questions about the interests, skills, experiences and qualifications needed to become an engineer and gives young people an idea of what life is really like as an engineer.

Through the workshop pupils will:

• Develop their knowledge and understanding of engineering pathways.
• Be inspired by STEM careers and concepts.
• Practice green employability skills, such as problem-solving, team-working and communication.  
• Enhance their awareness of real-world engineering in London.
• Connect with industry professionals.
• Explore our world-leading collections.

The workshops are available for School groups to book for free on Monday 15 July (starting at 10.30 and 13.00) and can be booked with a self-guided visit of our world-leading collections in the heart of Covent Garden.
