A little bit about the session:

We will first have a brief presentation of what is Chinese Calligraphy and the four essential equipment of Chinese calligraphy.

Then we will be holding a beginner-level tutorial teaching you how to hold a brush and the basic calligraphy stokes in Kaishu(楷书) This tutorial( lasting~20-30 mins) is not mandatory for those of you who have practiced calligraphy before, so if this seem to be too simple for you, feel free to practice during whilst we give out the tutorial.

After the tutorial, you can spend time practicing calligraphy, communicating with other students and Aria will be around to help if anyone need. This event welcome to students at all levels! We have prepared the essential calligraphy equipment , but feel free to bring you own brush or textbook(字帖) if you want!
