Earth Resources Centre

The UCL Earth Resources Centre (UCL-ERC) is a group of researchers and students who research all aspects of Earth Resources, from the geological processes which form them to better methods for exploration, extraction, processing and remediation.

Earth Resources underpin society, particularly providing sustainable and secure supplies of resources needed for the energy transition. We use a mixture of field, laboratory, experimental and modelling methods to understand how Earth Resources form and how we can more efficiently explore for and extract them. We also research resources from waste and how mineral extraction can become more sustainable and environmentally friendly.
