Jen is a postdoctoral Research Associate working with Prof Jason Warren on clinical functional MRI projects.

This research is focused on understanding how our brains process complex auditory information, such as music, and how this changes in patients with neurodegenerative diseases. Functional imaging techniques (e.g. fMRI) are used to compare brain activity patterns in patients with different types of dementias and at different stages of their disease, with healthy older controls.

In particular, Jen and Dr Warren are interested in using functional imaging to identify networks of fronto-temporal brain regions for which activity changes may act as a precursor to the well-documented structural atrophy patterns.
