The talk will explore the notion of ‘interaction space’ in the built environment and outline how, through the introduction of novel digital technologies, new modes of interactions emerge, where the attention and scale between “artefact” and “environment” shift. Augmenting it, or potentially disrupting it, with a variety of digital possibilities, in particular the ones that have the capacity to alter senses and or facilitate interactive, whole body, immersive and sensorial experience. These possibilities invite us to rethink the new resulting space of interaction. There will be a brief overview and then time for reflection with the audience on what this would mean for shared encounters when mediated through networked urban displays.

All are welcome and there will be drinks and discussion after the presentations. Attendance is free but we kindly ask that you register for the event

This event is organised by UCLDH, which is part of the UCL Institute of Advanced Studies.
