If you are considering designing or implementing a clinical trial as part of your research study, there are four UKCRC-registered clinical trials units within the Institute of Clinical Trials and Methodology that you may want to approach:
- The Comprehensive Clinical Trials Unit at UCL
- The Cancer Research UK Clinical Trials Centre
- The Medical Research Council Clinical Trials Unit
- PRIMENT Clinical Trials Unit
These four units work very closely so, if you speak to any of them and they feel your study may be more suited to a different group, they will refer your study accordingly.
Advice on trial design for studies that you know will not require a CTU is available from the Research Support Centre Joint Research Office via the JRO admin team and the JRO biostatistics group.
