Volunteer Industrial mentors are sought for Civil Engineering MEng and MSc students.
The Civil, Environmental and Geomatic Engineering department is looking for volunteer industrial mentors to briefly meet once weekly (virtually) with 4th year MEng and MSc students from November to February. The purpose of these meetings will be to discuss career development, provide advice on work documents, as well as offering general support to 4th year MEng or MSc students.
Mentors may discuss with students about their engineering coursework but there is no marking or supervisory requirement for the role. Mentors and mentees have the flexibility to set the day/time with the student for when they’d like to meet each week.
To apply for consideration, please email cege-idp@ucl.ac.uk by 16 November 2020 with the following:
- A very brief explanation of their disciplinary background so we can try to pair a student with related interests.
- Whether or not they’d be willing to mentor more than one student and, if so, how many.
