Dr Natalie Wint joins the UCL Centre for Engineering

Natalie is a Lecturer (Teaching) on the Engineering Foundation Year programme at UCL East. She studied Physics with Medical Physics at Cardiff University before obtaining her MSc and EngD in Materials Engineering from Swansea University. Following that she spent time as a postdoctoral researcher at both the Ohio State University (USA) and Swansea University, before becoming the Head of the Engineering Foundation Year at Swansea University where she led a major programme change. 

Her research interests include: the impact of the marketisation of HE on engineering education; interdisciplinary education and the needs of the future workplace; differences between engineering education and engineering practice; and EDI and widening participation within engineering education. 

She is a Fellow of the HEA (FHEA), is involved in several SEFI Special Interest Groups (SIGs) and is co-host of the SEFI European Engineering Educators Podcast.
