We will actively source summer internship and graduate opportunities for potential UCL candidates and present shortlisted applications to employers.
UCL Careers Summer Internship Scheme
We will soon be launching the UCL Careers Summer Internships Scheme (in association with Santander Universities), offering you the chance to do a summer internship at a London-based small to medium enterprise (SME).
Santander Universities contributes funding to the employer to pay you the London Living Wage.
The internships will be eight weeks full-time or seven weeks part-time, between June – September 2018.
" I didn't have any defined expectations, but I really didn't expect to have such a wonderful time. I was/ am so happy to go in to work every day because I really loved the company atmosphere, and really respected and got on well with my co-workers. I feel like I wasn't treated like an intern or the youngest member of the team (which I was), but was given responsibilities and respected on an equal footing. I learned a lot of things that I had no real comprehension of before the internship. I genuinely feel like I was helping out as well. Vesa Popova – UCL BASc Arts and Sciences – graduating 2018
Internships will be available in a range of sectors including:
- Life Sciences/Health
- Social Sciences/Media
For further information on how to prepare please read this attachment.
New opportunities will be made available over the next few weeks until the end of March.
Global Internships Programme
UCL Careers are developing a Global Internships
Programme for students who wish to take up an internship outside of the UK.
The aim is to support students in gaining insight into working within industry alongside providing an opportunity to experience a culture that may be new to you. We will list opportunities under this programme as they become available.
In the meantime, there are already many global opportunities listed through myUCLCareers. To find relevant
opportunities just filter under the 'Country' or 'Location' you are looking
for, and the 'Type of vacancy' (eg. summer internship).
