Global Internships Programme
As part of a national campaign, UCL has pledged to increase the number of students studying or working overseas.
The Global Internships Programme is part of this UCL ongoing initiative with the aims to encourage students to gain working experience abroad and to boost global employability through undertaking an international summer internship during their time at university.
There are three ways you can be a participant on the programme in 2020-21:
Securing a managed opportunity that UCL Careers has sourced. Further information about this is available in the Managed Opportunities section.
Receiving a Global Internships Bursary for self-sourced internships. Details about the bursary are available in the Funding section.
Receiving an Erasmus+ Traineeship Grant for internships in the EU. Details about the grant are available in the Funding section.
Discover how an internship overseas can develop your skills and career prospects.
Whether it’s through UCL Careers, your own network or a third party, this section will advise you on how to find an internship.

If you are planning to undertake an internship outside of the UK but aren't a participant of the programme in one of the above three ways, you can still benefit from the information on these pages. They will help you with finding your own international internship and preparing for the experience of working overseas.
