Duncan Kavanagh – BSc Psychology - UK

Studying at UCL has emphasised to me how diverse and dynamic psychology is as a subject. The course itself covers a wide range of topics and that has been supplemented by psychology lecturers sharing their insightful, up-to-date research demonstrating psychology as a fluid and exciting field of study.

What has particularly struck me about the UCL psychology department is how open they are to new ideas, showing both encouragement and interest in what students think. This support has encouraged me to not only think for myself, but to have the confidence to challenge the status quo and to innovate solutions that can have a significant impact. This has also given me the knowledge and tools to become involved with psychology-related opportunities such as volunteering and paid work which have given me crucial work experience for the future.
