Jürg Bähler secures two large funding grants

Congratulations to Jürg Bähler, Director of the Institute of Health Ageing, who was successful in two large grant applications. The first is from the European Research Council (ERC) Advanced grants to study the roles of priority unstudied proteins in cellular quiescence and ageing. The second is a an eight year Wellcome Discovery Award. These are awarded to established researchers to pursue bold and creative research ideas to deliver significant shifts in understanding related to human life, health and wellbeing.
