I am currently undertaking an undergraduate degree in Medicine at University College London with an additional intercalated BSc in Physiology. I am also a member of the UCL Medical Society Global Health Committee.

The focus of my iBSc research project is the identification and analysis of mycobacterium tuberculosis aDNA in mummified human remains. By sampling the bone and tissue of naturally mummified individuals from four separate collections and running real time PCR I hope to be able to detect aDNA and use genetic analysis to identify the individual strains present amongst positive samples.
